I try to get the episodes up as fast as possible. YouTube has slowed down immensely. My internet is also on the fritz. Combine the two, and there's the main problem for me not being lightning fast at getting these Big Brother episodes up.

 

OK, so it's not a question, but I'm responding to it. Everyone who posts any type of BBUSA video always gets comments like this. I never remove them because people have a right to post their opinions. However, I would like to know why exactly instead of just a lone opinion.

I will admit that I have not seen much BBUK, so I cannot say which one is better or worse. I happen to like BBUSA though.

Yeah. I get this often. Might be hard to believe, but I do. First off, I never intended to upload Big Brother 8. It just sort of.......happened. I uploaded the first episode, and people out of the US thanked me because they were unable to view the episodes any other way. So now I'm uploading Big Brother 8 to keep them up to date.

I did do a vote as to which season should be uploaded next. To stop uploading BB5 of my own accord would be a form of lying.

One irate poster said:

"stop with adding old clips of big brother we done seen them. so we want to see new onces. i'm un subscripting because of it."

 

If I lose subscriptions because I'm sticking to my word, then so be it. People want to see Big Brother 5 and I will upload all 31 episodes, unless Viacom swoops down.

 

Proof that I can't keep everybody happy. I'm trying to upload both as fast as possible without becoming a YouTube slave. Just hang in there guys!

 

BB3 is out on DVD as a whole season. BB4 is out on DVD, not as a full season, but as "highlights". Yes, it's retarded, but it is what it is.

The reason I cannot upload BB3 and BB4 is that CBS would lose money. CBS isn't losing money over BB5, BB6 and BB8, but it would lose money over 3 and 4.

 

Viacom is a coorporation that owns just about everything. You name it, Viacom owns it, including CBS. Since Viacom owns CBS, it owns Big Brother.

CBS doesn't care if I have Big Brother 6 on YouTube. Viacom does though. They don't want to risk losing half a penny to Google/YouTube.

If my videos get taken off, which I am fully expecting to happen within the next 6 months, don't blame YouTube. They would WANT the BB eps up so they can get more traffic and get paid more by advertisers. If my eps get taken off, it's Viacom. And they have a right to take 'em off. They own them after all, but they will never make any money off of Big Brother 6 anyways, it's not coming out on DVD.

I got the screen captures online. A simple search for "BB8 Screencaps" will direct you to sites with loads of them.

 

 

I cannot upload them again. That would be a waste of time, energy and hope. However, you can prepare for this. There are many websites and free software programs dedicated to ripping videos from YouTube and storing them onto your computer.

My method to ensuring an episode's safty would be:

 

1. Download the 5 episode parts to your computer. You can do this online using http://vixy.net or using software. I would recommend using OrbitDownloader if you're going to use software. It's free for download online.

 

2. Piece together the parts. This is a piece of cake. All you need is WMM or iMovie.

 

3. Upload the episode to a file storage website, like MegaUpload or FileFront. Now the episode is safely online. Viacom cannot easily find it. You can share the link.

 

4. Delete the episode from your comp.
